Addiction Support
“Power of Support” can move mountains.
Just like our spines support our bodies, and our feet support our weight, and our chairs support our backs and our necks support our heads, just so does our family and friends support hold our spirits up. Support is the fuel which your self esteem, your spirit can not do without. And support is the core/main ingredient needed by a person who suffers from addiction (physical and psychological dependence ‘despite the negative consequences ‘ on psychoactive substances such as alcohol, tobacco, heroin, caffeine to name a few which alters the chemical milieu of one’s brain) to overcome their problems.
If you are suffering from an addiction and have come to realize that you do have a problem and take full responsibility thereof you are already well on your way to healing and a better positive, healthy future. Admitting to the problem is the biggest step which takes a lot of bravery and honesty and a necessity to come to realize that there’s more to life and you would like to better yourself and improve yourself worth. It’s when you admit to yourself that you’re tired of the darkness and seek light.
Your second step is to find your support structure (friends/family etc) and confide in them. Discuss your problem and dig and brainstorm until you find the core of your problem. What you lack in your life, what you are might be running from etc that caused your addiction. Once the heart of the matter has been established healing can begin.
Abstinence is the only cure. Stop your habit all together and replace your addiction with positivity. Seek something positive that will make you stronger emotionally and physically instead of weaker. Set yourself goals write them down and ensure to share these goals with your support team and lean on them always for support as they will be the core of your healing path. If you do not have friends or family for support, there are numerous companies/services who provide a support structure and who will hold your hand all the way.
